There's nothing like getting a new computer to remind you how portable, or not, you are. I'm happy to say that between Google's wonderful services (i.e. toolbar, bookmarks, ig, and calendar) and Ceedo I'm pretty much totally portable. But that's on Windows. Ceedo, unfortunately, does not support OSX, so I'm having to reinstall my Firefox and twitter apps.
I've just gotten my new MacBook Pro and since I'm "in between jobs" at the moment I've decided to try running OSX 100% for a while. I tried this a while back when I had a MBP for work but the lack of Windows Exchange and AD support tools made it impossible for me to run OSX full time. Since I don't need to do any of that right now, it's a perfect time to see what OSX can do.
My goal is to avoid using Windows OR installing any 3rd party apps (besides my chat and twitter tools) for as long as I can and to try all of the apps preloaded on the dock. Is there a MS Office equivalent built in to OSX? I guess I'll find out soon enough.
UPDATE: I've already had one failure - Safari. There is no Google toolbar for it yet and since that's where all my bookmarks and stuff are, I had to break and install Firefox.
