A couple of cool Twitter apps

I don’t go looking for new apps very often but while trying to find some decent games for my Samsung Omnia 2, I decided to check out what Marketplace offered.  I didn’t find any decent games (even my go to Diner Dash and Sims games disappoint on the WinMo platform) but I did find a nice new twitter app: moTweets.  It’s pretty, blue, and a nice alternative to PockeTwit  which I’ve been using for a while now.  There’s a free ad supported version you can download from the maker’s (Panoramicsoft) website but the premium version in Marketplace costs $3.99.  With support for multiple accounts, lists, and trends it’s by far the most robust twitter app for WinMo.

The 2nd Twitter app I’ve been using is Seesmic for iPhone.  I’ve been a fan of Seesmic’s desktop client from the beginning so I was a little miffed when I got my iphone and found that they didn’t have an app yet.  However, they do now and it doesn’t disappoint!  You can setup columns or “spaces” and swipe between them.  It doesn’t sync your columns or spaces with the desktop client like Tweetdeck does, but I’ve found that since I’ve begun utilizing Twitter’s list feature more, this is no longer necessary.  And to top it off, it integrates with Evernote!  Now when there’s a tweet I want to save or view from my computer later – I can just shoot it over to Evernote and be done with it.
