Ash of Scorpio is a prequel to the Bloodstone Trilogy. This is a quick read. You can read it as a standalone, but it is clear the story doesn't end here. There is violence. At first the story is confusing as you try to figure out who the characters are and what this is about. But it also left me with a bunch of unanswered questions. I will read the first book in order to see if those are answered.Product details

A nice lead in to a new series for the Multiverse-Eudaiz.
We meet Sedna once again and a few others mention in previous books. Can't wait to see were the story goes. Leadership or love the choices are not as simple as you would think.

Another race tries to prevent a major disaster on earth by locating a scorpion sculpture, when placed in a certain hidden place, unlocked a key, which in turn could set off a major incident, which would destroy half of earth's population. So back into time , our hero Caedmon must go.
An exciting and drama filled tale, which sets the stage for the trilogy to follow.

Again I am not disappointed with another new adventure from D N Leo. This prequel story is a thrill of a ride following along the next generation of LeBlanc's Ciaran's son Caedmon and the mess he gets himself into and out of. Then it's turned upside down again leaving one in suspense to what will happen next. Love is never easy with the LeBlanc men or for those who love them. I love and enjoy the writing style of this author. I was given a complimentary ebook copy of this story in exchange for an honest review which I have given.
This is a short Novella to get you started on the Bloodstone Series coming up. The main character features Cirian and Madeline's twin son Cademon who comes from the future to try to save earth's population! He attempted to get info from Sedna to help his mission and fell for her in the process.
He returns to earth 4 years later; although, to him it was yesterday when he last saw her and of course she was pissed that he had left without a word 4 years ago. They eventually resolve their issues and Cademon done things he had to in order to save earth and help his father with finding the key~!
The ending was a unexpected but it is getting you ready for the Novel and makes you wonder what will happen in the story to come.. I can't wait to see what happens !!
This is a great prequel in that it does a beautiful job of setting up the series, and boy is this going to be a wild ride. DN Leo has been wonderfully consistent at providing well-written plots full of action, intrigue, adventure and just the right amount of romance, and this book - even though short - is no different. She also makes a habit of bringing fan fave characters across her various series that are set in the "multiverse" that she created. In this case she's brought over the son of two of my all-time beloved characters, Cirian and Madeline. That just adds to the pleasure. It also leads to my one caveat while this series most definitely works perfectly alone, and my rating is looking at it as a stand-alone, if you've read the other multiverse novels by this author that will only add to your enjoyment. Either way, highly recommended.
This is a great sci-fi adventure story. It is a shorter standalone prequel to the bloodstone trilogy, so if it is not your cup of tea you are not left hanging but you will most likely will want to read the rest of the series. This story has great characters, an evolving plot and keeps you captivated to the end. I love all of Leo’s multiverse stories, they have a great mix of time travel, magic, science and much more. I have already read books one and two of the Bloodstone trilogy, looking forward to the third one and decided to read this prequel. It is great to get some past background about Sedna who is a mage and fronts herself as a professional antique dealer. This is a standalone story, but when you read the bloodstone trilogy this really adds to the details of the story. Always leaving room for more stories to develop, Leo does a great job with the many stories written and is able to intertwine them together while still leaving them independent.
